The Milwaukee Bucks have had a huge prescence in the NBA, since the team's creation in 1969. They started off their first season with mediocrity but a lucky coin flip landed them star center Lew Alcindor (later known as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar). Abdul-Jabbar led the team to a 29 game turnaround his rookie season. The team hit big in 1971, when they obtained star point guard Oscar Robertson from the Royals. The duo along with all-star Bob Dandridge won the team 66 games that year and won their first NBA title. The team still has the record for the fastest time for a new team to win the title. The duo led the team to two more 60+ win seasons in a row, amounting up to a toltal of an amazing 3 in row! They also made a finals appearance in 1974, but lost it to the Celtics. That year would be Robertson's last year before he retired and Abdul-Jabbar would be traded in 1975 to the Lakers. During the rest of the 70's, the team would slump a bit. The team recovered by 1980, having obtained rookie Sidney Moncrief. With Moncrief and later Terry Cummings, the team would win 6 division titles in a row and have 11 winning seasons in a row. The 90's were mostly mediocre for the team as they missed the playoffs 7 times in a row. During that period, they would obtain 3 point-specialist Ray Allen and Glenn Robinson. In 2001, the team made it to the Eastern Conference Finals, losing to the 76ers in 7 tough games. The team struggled again for the next 8 years, but today, they are rebuilding around Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis. Their overall record is 1869-1715 (.521). Their best season was their 1970-1971 season where they would put up a 66-16 (.805) record and their worst season was their 1993-1994 season where they would get a measly 20-62 (.244) record. They've retired 7 jerseys. 1 (Oscar Robertson), 2 (Junior Bridgeman), 4 (Sidney Moncrief), 14 (Jon McGlockin), 16 (Bob Lanier), 32 (Brian Winters), and 33 (Kareem Abdul-Jabbar).
